I think students shouldn't be allowed to use ipod or mp3's in class times because students will be distracted from their work and they could lose it at school.
I totally agree wiyh you, ipod and mp3'sare useful but destractive in class room.
I think that you should be able to bring iPods, Mp3 players and more to school, but you should not be able to use them in the middle of class because it may be disruptive to others around you.
I agree with you because we would all be distracted by a game or texting etc. Also your IPod could easily get stolen. So keep up the good work Inan.
Hi Inan, I sort of agree with you because you do make a good point saying that people could lose it but as I said in my comment they are helpful.
I really think that there is two sides to every story. Because I think that students music devises can be useful in some situations like busy work and tests just for concentration uses. I am not saying you are wrong just that I have a different opinion than you.
I totally agree with you and I get what you are trying to say, but what if the teacher holds onto your ipod/mp3 player for the whole day and whenever you need it really badly he/she could let you use it for 10-20 minutes and then you could give it back to him/her?
I think that we should and shouldn't be allowed to bring our IPods because if we did we can use them for calculators, but at the same time we might start to play their IPods while the teacher is talking or people would start to text each other.
I agree keep up the good work.
I totally agree with you because ipods can be useful for calculating and your right that kids could start texting and playing games while doing work. Some kids might text there friends for answers during a test or worksheet for example "hey whats the answer for question 5 ?"
I like your idea and it was a good point when you said people might start to text eachother. But at the same time it would be alot of fun if we were aloud to have 10-20 min. of free time were we could play on our IPods or listen to music.
I totally agree with you mason because people could also use them on test. But it is fun to do research on are ipods or mp3s too
I totally agree with you keep up the good work I think on to something good.
hi mason, I think your comment is great because they could be playing games or be texting each other.
I think that you should not be aloud because they can be very distracting and/or annoying. If you do bring them to school keep them in your locker or ask for permission to use them in class from Mr. Sandhu.
Hi Jake, you have a good point, but I think that if we did use our IPods it would get annoying to Mr. Sandhu if we asked him every 5 seconds "Can I get my IPod from my locker?"
I do think we should be aloud to have our ipods, mp3s, and phones because they can help you with research so not everyone needs to use the computer at once. They can also help with free time so you can listen to music other than talking to friend when you should be quiet, Also very good if you need to calculate something for math, but i also think that mabey not because for some people they can be destracting. Over all I think that we should be able to bring our ipods, phones, and mp3s.
I get what you are trying to say,but i don't really think any gadgets should be allowed in the class. If we have free time then Mr. Sandhu can put on the music or what ever we want to hear on the smart board.Plus if you use it too much you will be addicted to it.
I agree with you because they do come in handy when you need to use a calculator or in free time you can listen to music, and I also agree for not allowing it because even I would get distracted the odd time out. So keep up the good thinking Jagger
Hi jagger I totally agree because i pods,mp3s and phones would be very usefull for calculating and other research. Keep up the great thinking.
I agree with you that they can help with research and calculating in math. I also like your idea that it will stop kids talking to each other by listening to music.
I do agree with you because iPods, p3s, and phones can be distracting in a way, and I like how you said instead of talking in class you can simply just take out one of those items, or in class if you need to use a calculator and all of the calculators or gone then you can use an iPod, mp3 player, or your phone. Good job, Jagger and well put into words.
I think that IPods but not MP3 players beacause IPods can be useful in class but also distracting to some people.
I agree with you and I disagree with. I agree when you said ipods can be distracting to people. But I disagree with you when you said but not MP3 players why not MP3 players? Anyway keep up the great work.
I think students should be aloud to bring iPods to school in some ways and they shouldn't be in some ways they should be aloud to so they can research things and calculate things if they half to and if they are aloud to listen to music if the teacher says so. But I also think we shouldn't be aloud because if someone doesn't have one they might think it is not fair also you could easily get it stolen. well that is my opinion on this subject.
I think that we should be able to bring ipods, phones and mp3s but I think we should only be aloud to bring them in on Friday's for fun. We shouldn't bring them in everyday because kids might get distracted from there work and start getting lower grades. When Mr. Sandhu is teaching us we shouldn't have our headphones in because we would not learn anything, also ipods are great for researching stuff and for calculating in math.
Hi Jack J,
It is a great idea to only be able to bring them on Friday's for fun, and you are very much right because lots of kids can be distracted, and be getting lower grades because they have been bringing there electronics to school. Good job Jack, and I totally agree with you.
I totally agree with you when you said that we should only be aloud to bring them in on fridays, keep up the great thinking Jack.
I do not think it is a good idea to be alowed to play on your ipods or mp3's due to the fact that it could be distracting and you could drop grades easily. Although listening to music in class would be fun, (for 20-30 min.) Mabey if you arranged to have a 15 min. brake so we could play on our ipods then go back to work it would be fun.
Personally theres two sides of me one side off me would like to have i pods and mp3 players because it would be very fun to listen to music. The other side off me is no because electronics can be distracting and would if it was a important lesson being tought.
I think it would be so much fun to have are ipods or mp3 because we could have free time and just play on them. although people could use them to cheat also can effect your grades you could go from a A student to a C student. I think we should be able to use are ipods or mp3s with teachers permission.
I really agree with you. And you had great point on that the student could change there grade average. You really got me to think on a whole nother level.
I think it would be great to have ipods and stuff in class because the level of electronics these days. It will help you calculate stuff in math and you could listen to music with headphones. But on the other hand people could phone people and not be focused on their work and then there will be no point in school. And because they could cheat on a math or other test and calculate the answer but I get it if you are allowed to calculate the answer but if you do and you are not allowed to calculate and you doing that is wrong.
I think that students should and should not be able to bring there music players to school. First of all I think students should be able to bring ther music players to school because they can be useful during busy work periods and during tests and work sheets to help concentration. But on the othere hand students should not be able to bring them to school because they can use it to cheat on things like test or work. And there is a higher risk of lossing it or breaking it.
I have also put some more though in to my comment. I have also noticed that some students might not have an IPod of MP3 player. And that the students grade point average could go down, I am not saying it will just that you have a higher chance of losing marks from not paying attention in class or to the person of athority.
Yes and no. Yes because they could use them for calculators and much more. No because they could play music well the teacher is talking also they could play games and distract other people when they are trying to learn.
I think that kids should not be able to bring there electronics to school because when you think about it iPods, mp3s, and phones could be very distracted to kids that are trying to learn. Maybe sometimes you can bring them in for research, or using them for a calculator if Mr.Sandhu approves it.(:
I know that before when I replied back to Inan I said " what if the teacher holds on to your ipod/mp3 for the whole day when ever you need it really badly he/she could let you use it for 10-20 minutes," but after I thought about it for a long time, that if every body gives the teacher their ipod's/mp3's they could proboly get all mixed up, there would be phone calls every second, and the teacher would not be able to handle so many ipod's/mp3's. Therefore I say we should not be able to bring ipod's/mp3's to school.
I think we should be able to bring our iPod's and mp3 because we can use them as calculators and many more things, but it can be very distracting
I don't think we need ipod and mp3's at school and should be at home. And they can be distractive for studying too.
Hi everyone, There is two sides of me in this one. One side is that everyone likes to listen to music on there ipod's and mp3's but is it worth it. The other side of me is if your going to listen to music all day what's the point of having a teacher talking about a bunch of subjects for six hours.
Personally theres two sides on me i think it would be cool to bring an ipod or mp3 player to school so you can use it to calculate or listen to muisc , but i also think it would be distracing to others and yourself, also you might get it taken away from the teacher if you are not paying attention or distracting people.
I think we should be able to bring our iPod's and mp3's but only use it when the teacher tells us we use it, like use it in math as a calculater
I think it's a great idea because then you can listen to music while you are doing art work and other quiet assignments.
